Ms. Helen Inez Austin, age 94 of Lake Butler, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, with her family by her side. She was born in Thorsby, Alabama to the late Virginia and W.A. Riggins, Sr. Upon graduating high school, she worked as a seamstress for Vanity Fair for many years. Ms. Austin enjoyed running a small farm, loved spending time with family and friends and had a very good sense of humor. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Butler and was a warm and loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by her family very much. To know her was to love her. She is survived by her children: Henry (Pam) Austin, Jr. and Michael (Carole) Austin all of Pensacola, and Barbara (Blair) Harrison of Lake Butler; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Henry Daniel Austin, Sr., her son: Donald A. Austin; her daughter: Peggy L. Austin; and her great grandson Colby Harrison. Funeral services will be held 7:00pm, Friday, January 13, 2017 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South, Pensacola, Florida. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place 10:00am, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Pine Rest Cemetery, Foley, Alabama. Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny is assisting the family locally .
