Harold Mccall

Mr. Harold O. McCall, age 79 of Jacksonville, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016. Mr. McCall was a United States Army veteran, an expert marksman and a retired barber. He spent many years as a barber on the Twentynine Palms Marine Base in Twentynine Palms, CA. He was also a member of the USA National Pistol Team. In his spare time, he enjoyed hiking, visiting national parks, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his sons: Michael McCall of Costa Mesa, CA and Kevin McCall of Joshua Tree, CA; daughter: Heather (Jesse) Benavidez of Twentynine Palms, CA; step-son: Mark Fort of Virginia; brother: Steve McCall of Conroe, TX; and sisters: Glenda (Randall) Jones of Jacksonville and Opal Fraker of Greenville, SC. One grandchild also survives. His family will have a celebration of his life at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny. 904-259-4600.
