George Federico Ton

GySgt. Ret. George Federico Ton, age 66 of Macclenny passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at his home. George was born in New York City on May 3, 1957 to the late Antonio and Antonia Ton. George would join the United States Marine Corps after high school and had a decorated career until his retirement after more than twenty years. After his retirement, George continued similar work, maintaining submarines as a civilian.

In his spare time, Mr. Ton was an avid golfer and loved to cook for family and friends. He was a resident of Baker County for the last eight years after moving from Jacksonville.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Terri Ton of Macclenny; daughter: Holly Arland of Milton; grandchildren: Kelsey Dyal, Kaitlyn Arland, and Makayla Arland; great-grandchildren: Colten, Conway, Raelynne, Blakeleigh, and Kayson; as well as a sister: Annabelle Ton of Virginia.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery with military honors to be rendered.
