George Lawrence Forist

Mr. George L. Forist Jr., age 75 of Sanderson and formerly of St. George, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017. Mr. Forist worked in the construction industry for many years. He enjoyed playing pool and planting flowers. He was a loving, honest man who will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his sons: Ricky Forist of Sanderson and Dustin Forist of Jacksonville; daughter: Tammy Forist of Sanderson; brothers: Don (Loretta) Forist of Tennessee and Joe Forist of Lansing, Michigan; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Thursday, November 9, 2017 in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery, Sanderson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny. 904-259-4600.
