Ernest Dehart

Mr. Ernest Gene DeHart, age 77 of Glen St. Mary, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012. Mr. Dehart was a United States Navy veteran and a retired industrial mechanic. He was a member of the VFW and Moose Lodge 2412 in Macclenny. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, solving crossword puzzles, feeding wild birds, hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife: Chessie DeHart of Glen St. Mary; son: Michael (Lorraine) DeHart of Glen St. Mary; daughters: Deborah (Mike) Brost of Atlantic Beach, Brandi (James) Wood of Mission, TX, and Candi DeHart of Jacksonville. Fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by two daughters: Tonya Blaine and Kathy Heathco. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the Taylor Church in Sanderson with Pastor Jim Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8pm, Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Forbes Funeral Home Chapel, 380 North Lowder Street, Macclenny.
