Emily Marion Raulerson, age 88 of Lake City passed away, Sunday March 14, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 26, 1932 in Baker County to the late Mr. Lewis and Bessie (Rowe) Fraser. She attended Baker County Schools and graduated in 1950. She married the love of her life, Mr. Charles “Virgil” Raulerson on November 14, 1950 in Folkston, Georgia, and they would spend over seventy wonderful years together. She would go on to work for the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier and would retire in 1994. Together, Marion and Virgil enjoyed retirement, traveling extensively throughout the United States. They resided in Hiawassee, Georgia for several years before returning to Lake City in 2004, where they would spend the rest of their years together.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings: Charles Fraser, Lois Holt, and Miranda “Rannie” Taylor.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years: Mr. Virgil Raulerson; children: Glenn (Grace) Raulerson, Joni Raulerson, Berry Raulerson, Allen (Shelli) Raulerson, Angel (Sean) Rabuck, and Tonya (Tom) Sembower; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters: Sara Sizemore and Faye (Conny) Fiser; brother: Brantley “Carl” Fraser; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Manntown Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Lonnie Johns officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the church. Interment will follow at Manntown Cemetery.
