Emily Faye Moran

Emily Faye Moran, beloved mother and grandmother, peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, November 24, 2024. Born on March 12, 1934 in Sanderson, “Faye” was the daughter of Charles and Leila (Harvey) Prevatt. Ms. Faye worked for many years for the Baker County Superintendent’s Office in finance department. All the while, Faye worked alongside her husband, Jerry, in the family business, Moran Motor & Wrecker Service, handling the bookkeeper duties.

In her free time, Ms. Faye enjoyed supporting her husband and sons in their dirt track racing ventures. She loved being surrounded by her kids and grandkids. She was also a faithful attending member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Ray Prevatt, Leon Prevatt, and Mary Lou Caruthers; son, Donnie Moran; and her beloved husband of fifty-eight years, Jerry Moran.

She is survived by her sons, Steve (Sonya) Moran, Ronnie (Amanda) Moran, and Ricky (Robin) Moran; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; as well as a multitude of extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Ramondetta officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM at the church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
