Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Tyre

Ms. Elizabeth Ann "Liz" Tyre, age 49 of Macclenny, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017. A lifelong Baker County resident, Ms. Tyre enjoyed attending church, going out to eat, and playing bingo. She also enjoyed spending time at home, watching television, doing word search puzzles, and talking on the phone. She will be remembered as a sweet-spirited, happy person who easily made friends and had a heart for animals. She is survived by her brother: Wilbur Eugene "Gene" Tyre of Macclenny; sister: Theresa (Ed) Dutcher of Sanderson; and numerous other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents: William C. and Annie Alford Tyre. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Glen Friendship Tabernacle, Glen St. Mary, with Pastor Albert Starling and Reverend Tommy Starling officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor Cemetery, Sanderson. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Monday, December 11, 2017 at Glen Friendship Tabernacle.
