Dwight Wray "Mouse" Davis, age 59, of Sanderson went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 3, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Les and Bonnie Alford Davis on July 1, 1953. Mr. Davis was an avid hunter who enjoyed watching Florida Gator football and Nascar racing, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Cindy Davis; lifelong friend, Linda Davis; sons: Dwight "Pete" (Rebecca) Davis Jr. and Brandon (Candace) Davis both of Sanderson; daughters: Lenor (Donnie) Rosier and Mindy Davis (Michael) both of Sanderson; brothers: Larry Davis of Middleburg, Allen (Paula) Davis of Sanderson and Roger (Melissa) Davis of Taylor; sisters: Marilyn (Kenny) Barnes, Diane (Mike) Craig and Cheryl Davis all of Sanderson; mother-in-law: Ellen Holly of Orange Park; step-mother-in-law: Carolyn Parish of Macclenny; brother-in-law: Lee (Trina) Parish of Macclenny; sisters-in-law: Lindy (Skip) Richardson of Glen St. Mary and Christa (Casey) Marion of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law L. E. Parish. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Dinkins New Congregational Methodist Church with Pastors Allen Crews and Tim Alford officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at the church. In leiu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made in Mr. Davis' name to First Coast Oncology/Transportation Division; to help offset the transportation cost for cancer patients.
