Mrs. Dorothy Joyce Scott, age 79 of Macclenny, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017. A Jacksonville native, Mrs. Scott had lived in Macclenny for the past fifteen years. She retired from CSX railroad after forty years of service. She enjoyed camping and music, loved NASCAR and football and was a Florida Gator fan. Mrs. Scott was a member of Women of the Moose, Chapter 2026 in Macclenny since 2002. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband: Larry Scott of Macclenny; son Michael (Melanie) Smith of Macclenny; grandsons: Michael P. Smith and Kyle Leach; granddaughter: Kendall (Ryan) Gill; step-daughters: Tammy Harris, Cori Howle, and Julie Rousseau, all of Bryceville; brothers: Arthur (Nikki) Lemen, Donald Lemen, and Nathan Lemen; sister: Nancy (Nick) Halverson of Illinois; her four-legged fur baby: Peewee; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Rita Lemen; son: Richard D. Smith; and brother: Paul Lemen Jr. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
