Donald Lee Weddle, Jr.

Donald Lee “Big Don” Weddle, Jr., age 48 of Sanderson passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in Dayton, Ohio. He was born in Dayton on July 21, 1974 to the late Donald and Ardalue (Adkins) Weddle, Sr.

Don would spend the last thirty years in Baker County, making friends and memories. He was an avid motorcycle rider and was proud member of Locals MC: Macclenny Chapter. He loved his family and friends and had an unbreakable bond with his nieces and nephews. Don was a man of strong faith and was proud to be his “brother Billey’s keeper”. Don will be remembered by those who knew him for his big personality.

He was preceded in death by his parents; adopted mother: Barbara Batten; and brother: Okey Jones.

He is survived by his wife: Denise Weddle of Sanderson; brothers: Billey Weddle of Macclenny and Ronnie Hudson of Dayton, Ohio; sisters: Karen Allen of Jacksonville, Linda Jo Jones of Starke, Krystal Parker, and Susan Hudson of Dayton, Ohio; a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; and a multitude of friends who considered him family.

A Celebration of Big Don’s Life will be held in chapel of Forbes Funeral Home, Friday, June 16, 2023 at 7:00 PM, with the family receiving friends at 5:00 PM until the beginning of the service.
