Mr. Donald Lee Suggs, age 65 of Tallahassee, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017. Born in Washington County to the late Andrew and Ezzella Mason Suggs, he has been a resident of Leon County for over thirty years. Mr. Suggs has spent most of his adult life as a truck driver and was currently employed by Covenant Transportation. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and visiting with friends on his front porch. Mr. Suggs loved his family and particularly enjoyed traveling to Texas to watch his grandchildren shoot in the cowboy shooting competition. He is survived by his wife: Martha Suggs; sons: Gregory Lee Suggs and James David "Bubba" Suggs, both of Woodville; daughters: Candice Davis of Tallahassee and April Davis (Tate McElwain) of Oakwood, TX; sisters: Jett Suggs of Milledgeville, GA, Shirley (Joel) Pate of Chipley, Florida, and Essie Mae Starling of Bainbridge, GA; brothers: Jimmy (Carolyn) Suggs of Bainbridge, Ga and Robert Suggs of New Hope, Florida; grandchildren: Elijah Kilpatrick, Bryanah Kilpatrick, Chance McElwain, Nicholas McElwain, and Ana'Laya Suggs; and great grandchild: Caden Allen Burroughs. He was preceded in death by his sister: Bett Suggs and brother: Alfred Suggs. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Friday, June 23, 2017 at Heritage Assembly of God Church, Tallahassee, Florida with Pastor Alice Burdeshaw officiating. Burial will follow at Panacea Cemetery, Panacea, Florida. The family will receive friends at 1:00pm, at the church the day of the service.
