Delma Thomas

Mr. Delma L. Thomas, age 74 of Panacea, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015. Born in Panacea, to the late Joseph L. and Geneva (Hartsfield) Thomas Sr., Mr. Thomas was a lifelong Wakulla County resident. He was the owner of D. L. Thomas Seafood and loved spending time on the water, fishing and oystering. He was a member of the River of Life Church in Crawfordville and also enjoyed attending the Panacea Full Gospel Assembly. He enjoyed watching gospels shows on TV and doing word search puzzles. Mr. Thomas especially enjoyed spending time with his grandbabies, friends and family. He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years: Patsy Thomas; daughters: Marilyn (Danny) Whetstone of Arrington, TN, Lisa (Charles) Clark and Leann Thomas, all of Smyrna, TN; brothers: Marvis (Louise) Thomas of Sopchoppy and Isaac (Liz) Thomas of Panacea; sisters: Bessie (Cecil) Gilbert of Tallahassee, Linda (Buddy) Camp of Crawfordville, and Eva (Early) Duggar of Tallahassee; sisters-in-law: Bashby Thomas and Gracie Thomas, both of Louisiana; and grandchildren: Katie, Jana, Michael, Jonathan, and Shawn. He was preceded in death by his brothers: J.L. Thomas Jr., Odell Thomas, and Hixon Thomas. Funeral services will be held 12:00pm, Monday, March 9, 2015 at Panacea Full Gospel Assembly, Panacea, FL with Pastor B.B. Barwick and Reverend Henry Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Panacea Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
