David Noel Hicks Sr.

David Noel Hicks, Sr., 45 of Hilliard passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. David was born in Macclenny on September 19, 1974 to the late Mr. Noel Hicks and Mrs. Barbara (Conner) Hicks. Mr. Hicks was a lifelong resident of Hilliard and worked as a paramedic with Liberty Ambulance Service in Jacksonville for over eighteen years. He was very passionate about his work. In his free time, David loved the outdoors, gardening, golfing, riding four wheelers and fishing, especially in the St. Mary’s River. Most of all, David enjoyed a simple life surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Noel Dwight Hicks.

He leaves behind to cherish the memories; his beloved wife, Amanda Hicks of Hilliard; sons: David (Brogan) Hicks and Adam Hicks (Courtney) all of Hilliard; daughter: Shealyn Hicks (David) of Hilliard; grandchildren: Henry Hicks and Peter Hicks; mother: Barbara Hicks (Frank) of Hilliard; brother: Donnie (Melissa) Hicks of St. George; sisters-in-law: Tracy (Drew) Yeaton of Tennessee and Kristie (Savannah) Poturich of Macclenny; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends Tuesday, August 18, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church, St. George, Georgia.

Funeral services to honor David’s life will begin at 12:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church, St. George, Georgia.

He will be laid to rest in Conner Green Cemetery, Hilliard after the conclusion of the service.
