Mrs. Daisy Crews Mattox, age 83 of Macclenny, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015. She was born in Macclenny to Lewis and Ethel Johns Crews. Mrs. Mattox was a retired distribution clerk who loved to read and go shopping. She was a faithful member of Christian Fellowship Temple in Macclenny and loved gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughters: Sandy (Ronny) Morgan of Cobbtown, Georgia and Teressa (Mike) Bell of Middleburg; grandchildren: Melissa (Sean) Faircloth, Lisa Bell, Mandy (Tony) Tyson, and David (Colleen) Bell; great grandchildren: Andrew Faircloth, Jakob Bell, Cady Bell, Gavin Tyson, Logan Tyson, and Emma Tyson; brothers: Reverend Willie (Ann) Crews of Jacksonville and Raymond (Vivian) Crews of Macclenny; sisters: twin, Mazie (Eugene) Barlow of Macclenny and Violet Crews of Glen St. Mary. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lewis and Ethel Crews; husbands: Travis Garrett and Ernest Mattox; and sisters: Sarah Howard and Susie Sigers. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Christian Fellowship Temple, Macclenny with Pastor David Thomas, Reverend Tommy Richardson, and Reverend Sean Faircloth officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery, Macclenny. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Friday, September 11, 2015 at Christian Fellowship Temple.
