Cynthia Ann Swain

Cynthia Ann Carter Swain, 67, of Blackshear, Georgia died Saturday evening, March 8, 2025 at HCA Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida after an extended illness. Ms. Swain was born in Waycross, Georgia to the late Betty Jo Carver Johnson and John W. Carter. She loved spending time with her family. She also got hyped for fishing as well as watching her favorite team, the Georgia Bulldogs football, and NASCAR Racing.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jo Johnson and stepfather, Marvin Spencer Johnson.

Ms. Swain is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Colvin of Little Rock, Mississippi; one daughter, Tonja Ferguson (Chris Ferguson); one son, Norman "Bubba" Swain (Jennifer Swain); four grandchildren, Joel Bennett ( Leslie), Will Bennett (Linzee), Hannah Undercuffler (Drew Undercuffler), Nathan Swain (Bracha); three bonus grandchildren, Jessie Ferguson (Jada), Austin Ferguson ( Libby), Heather Braswell (Seth Braswell); and numerous great grandchildren; as well as her sweet furbaby Lucy and special friend Kim Harmon.
