Cynthia ‘Cindy' Diane Coggin, age 59, of Glen St. Mary, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 12, 2016 under the care of Hospice at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville after an extended illness. She was well known to bring a smile to any room and absolutely loved life. Cindy attended Paxon High School in Jacksonville and obtained her GED in Baker County later in life. She had a career in farming and wrote The Garden Patch article for the Home Town Journal for several years. She loved music, played the violin, guitar and harmonica. Her spontaneous wit and infectious humor will live on in the hearts of those that loved her for generations to come. Cindy Coggin was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Lewis; her father, Jerry Coggin and her sister, Mary Helen Coggin. She is survived by her life-partner, Laurie Wall; her son, Michael Coggin; her half sister, Lee Coggin (Derick) Price, her step children Timothy (Melody) Wall and Valerie Wall (Artemus) Smith and one granddaughter she called ‘her heart', Alexis Brisbon; and numerous cousins and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 6:00pm, Thursday, September 15, 2016 in the chapel at Forbes Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Fish officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Coggin family cemetery in Brewer, MS on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 10:00am, CST.
