Cyndi L. Harvey

Ms. Cyndi L. Harvey, age 65 of Jacksonville and formerly of Baker County, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017. Born in Jacksonville to the late Alfred E. and Marie Potter Smith Sr., Ms. Harvey grew up attending Baker County Schools. She was a majorette in high school and a member of the 1969 graduating class. She was the branch manager at the old Citizens Bank for many years until it was sold. Ms. Harvey enjoyed playing guitar and singing, cooking and enjoying a good meal. She loved her family and cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as an easy-going woman who was full of life. She is survived by her sons: Michael (Taralyn) Harvey of Fleming Island and Justin Harvey of Sanderson; grandchildren: Jordan Harvey and Griffin Harvey, both of Fleming Island; brother: Alfred E. (Sharon) Smith Jr. of Macclenny; sisters: Patricia (Ken) Campbell of Illinois and Melody Victor of Macclenny; other family: W. Ray Harvey and Ms. Lou Bertha Harvey, both of Sanderson; and a host of friends and other family members. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Macclenny with Reverend Mark Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in the chapel at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Forbes Funeral Home, 904-259-4600.
