Reverend Clayton Earl Yarbrough, Sr., age 80 of Macclenny, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Reverend Yarbrough was born in Moniac, Georgia to the late Benjamin Franklin and Addie M. Raulerson Yarbrough. He was an ordained minister and a member of Mt. Zion New Congregational Methodist Church. He was also a Master Diesel Refrigeration Mechanic and worked for Fruit Growers Express Railroad for twenty years. He spent some time as a truck driver for A & P Grocers, and also owned a car detailing service in Macclenny called Yarbrough Car Care. Reverend Yarbrough enjoyed sports and coached women's softball and played on a men's softball team for several years. He was an avid FSU Seminole fan, a Georgia Bulldog fan and an Atlanta Braves fan. He loved NASCAR and was a Dale Earnhardt fan. He enjoyed squirrel hunting and fishing, gospel and bluegrass music, and visiting with friends. He loved people and never met a stranger. He is survived by his son: Clayton E. (Donna) Yarbrough Jr. of Macclenny; daughters: Debra (Rodney) Riddle of Jacksonville, Dee Hadley and Rebecca Williams of Macclenny, and Norma Yarbrough of Glen St. Mary; adopted daughter: Mary Beth Easton of Macclenny; step son: Doug (Lori) Jones and step daughters: Teresa Leonard and Vanessa (Kenny) Roberts all of Macclenny. Eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Betty Jones Yarbrough; first wife and mother of his children: Edith Yarbrough; and brother: Carlton Yarbrough. Funeral services will be held 11:00, Saturday, August19, 2017 in the chapel at Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Cemetery, Hilliard.
