Cindy Darlene Sanders, age 57 of Sanderson passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville. She was born on September 16, 1963 in Jacksonville to the late Elmus “Bud” and Shirley (Canaday) Davis, Sr. and was a lifelong resident of Baker County. She worked for twenty-eight years for the Baker County School Board. Cindy loved to cook for family, friends, and church family, and was always looking for ways to help others. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and the time she got to spend at the family hunting camp in Georgia. She loved to go to yard sales to see what treasures she could find. Most important to Mrs. Cindy was her family and she loved the time she got to spend with and spoil her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Rita Davis; sister-in-law: Sharon Davis; and nephew: Scott Davis.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Rev. Eddy Sanders of Sanderson; children: Danielle Sanders, Blaine (Tamala) Sanders, and Jacob (Jamie) Sanders all of Sanderson; grandchildren: Haley, Payton, Emiley, Brailey, Lucas, Riley, and Marley; brothers: Elmus (Carolyn) Davis, Jr., Richard Davis, and Jerry Davis all of Sanderson; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Cornerstone Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 11:00 AM at the church with Rev. Randall Griffis officiating and Sis. Mae White assisting. Interment will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
