Charles JR Davis

Charles JR Davis, best known as “Man-Man”, passed from this life on Monday, January 13, 2025 at his home in Glen St. Mary. Man-Man was the son of Ronnie Davis, Sr. and Tessey (Ward) Hodge, born in Jacksonville on January 31, 1992. He worked as an equipment operator for TimPrep for several years.

When not working, Man-Man enjoyed the outdoors, spending his time hunting, fishing, and riding four wheelers. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and loved his classic Chevrolet trucks.

He is survived by his mother, Tessey (Craig) Hodge of Macclenny; father, Ronnie Davis, Sr. of Glen St. Mary and siblings, Ronnie “Lil Bubba” (Amber) Davis, Jr., Amber (Anthony) Harvey, and Jessie (Danielle) Johnson. He was the beloved uncle to Jeremiah Bassile, Tyler (Faith) Bassile, Zachary Harvey, Braidon Harvey, Alyssa Davis, Jacob Davis, Novah Davis, and Jacob (Jaylyn) Baughman. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews, Cameron Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Carlena Johnson, Keenan Barton, Kason Bassile, and Kynsleigh “KK” Baughman, as well as extended family and friends.

The family will be receiving friends in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home on Thursday, Jaunary 16, 2025 from 5:00PM until 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Donnie Griffis, Jr. officiating at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
