Cecil William Pringle, age 76 of Jacksonville passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 after an extended illness at the Community Hospice Center at Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital. A lifelong resident of the Jacksonville area, Cecil was (one of fourteen children) born to the late Cecil and Gracie (Fouraker) Pringle, on March 12, 1946 in Bryceville.

He worked for many years as an established and skilled mechanic, specializing in starters and alternators. Cecil loved get-togethers with friends and family, cold drinks, music, and good times. He was an avid Florida Gator fan. In his spare time, Cecil enjoyed fishing and going to the flea market. He will be remembered for his big personality.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Richard Pringle, Granville Pringle, Brian Pringle, Virgil Carroll, Lamar Carroll, Mary Blanton, Juanita Pringle, and Norma Jean Carroll; his ex-wife and mother of his children: Mona Lisa Maxey; and a daughter: Tina Renee Pringle.

He is survived by his children: Regina (Michael) Cook of St. George and Willy Pringle of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Kayla Pringle, Destiny Eddins, Clayton Eddins, and Jesse Vining; great-granddaughter: Sailor Renee Pringle; siblings: Roy Carroll, Chris Pringle, Stacey Pringle, Jeanette McGee, and Charlotte Gray; as well as numerous extended family members and close friends.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Brandy Branch Cemetery at 11:00 AM, with the family receiving friends an hour prior at the cemetery.
