Carolyn Bailey

Ms. Carolyn Elaine Bailey, age 72 of Glen St. Mary, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016. A longtime Baker County resident, Ms. Bailey was a daughter of the late J. W. and Thelma Crews Starling. She was a free spirited woman who enjoyed life and lived it on her own terms. Ms. Bailey loved gardening and puzzle books. She enjoyed talking with friends and loved ones. She loved spending time with her family, especially her great grandbabies. She is survived by her sons: R.L. "Pete" Thomas of Perry, Florida, Jeffery S. Thomas of Glen St. Mary, and Douglas S. "Doug" (Lisa) Thomas of Cuyler; daughter: Debra L. Harvey of Glen St. Mary; brother: Charles (Donna) Starling of Tennessee; sister: Eunice Starling of Jacksonville; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Dwayne Starling; and sister: Susan Parrish. A memorial service will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, February 13, 2016 in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
