Carol Ann Ferguson

Carol Ann Ferguson of Macclenny, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025 at St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital. Carol was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 15, 1954 to V. Kent and Sarah (Richards) Motter. She would go on to nursing school and would dedicate nearly 20 years of her life to the health care field. While living in Winter Springs, Carol worked as a pianist at Trinity Preparatory School and her church, Grace Presbyterian. She and her husband settled in Baker County in 2006 and were members of Heritage Church.

In her free time, Carol enjoyed crafts, mainly quilting, cross-stitch, and making jewelry. She had a passion for music and enjoyed reading as well.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nancy Glorvigen.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Ferguson of Macclenny; children, Christopher Ferguson of Blaine, MN and Sara Morrison of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Caroline Elizabeth Morrison; brothers, Rick (Joy) Motter of Hibbing, MN, Thomas Motter of Los Angeles County, California, Daniel (Ruth) Motter of Pengilly, MN, and Roger (Lorene) Motter of Grand Rapidsm, MN; brother-in-law, Gene Glorvigen of Rochester, MN; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Heritage Church on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bryan Simpson and Rev. Tom Pope officiating. The family will receive friends and loved ones Monday, February 10, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the chapel of Guerry Forbes Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to the American Kidney Fund in honor of Mrs. Carol although flowers would also be appreciated.
