Carl Hallstrom

Carl Eugene Hallstrom, 87, of Lanark Village, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012. He was a retired Southern Baptist minister and served as the Chaplain for the American Legion in Carrabelle, Florida. A U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, Mr. Hallstrom was the recipient of three Bronze Stars, the Purple Heart and other decorations and citations for his service. He is survived by his son, Larry (Jeannie) Hallstrom of Crawfordville and a sister, Mary Arlene Rose of El Paso, TX. Five grandchildren and six great granchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Louise Hallstrom. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church of Carrabelle, with Pastor Mark Mercer and Pastor James Chunn officiating. Interment took place at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Arrangements are under the care and direction of FORBES FUNERAL HOME 850-559-3380.
