Brenda Sue Self

Mrs. Brenda Sue Self, age 63 of Macclenny, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017. She was born in Vidalia, Georgia to the late James and Coreese Patrick Griner. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Self loved going on camping trips with her husband and always looked forward to visiting her cousins, Dan and Buddy, in Georgia. She also enjoyed spending mornings on her porch, drinking coffee and watching birds. She is survived by her husband of forty years: Don Self; son: Donny (Rachel) Self of Macclenny; daughters: Selena (Robbie) Roberts of Macclenny and Sebrena (Jason) Oralls of Glen St. Mary; brother: Bobby (Charlene) Griner of Jacksonville; and fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Charles Whitehead, and brothers: Mickey Griner and Gary Griner. A celebration of her life will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Sanderson Congregational Holiness Church with Pastor Oral Lyons and Reverend Tommy Richardson officiating.
