Mr. Benjamin John Lee Lynn, age 72 of Crawfordville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 2, 2016. John was born in Donaldsonville, GA to the late Culbert and Eula Alday Lynn. After serving in the US Navy, he resided in Tallahassee for a time, before moving his young family to Wakulla County in 1973. He spent almost twelve years as a dispatcher for the Wakulla County Sheriff's Department and over twenty five years at the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles in Tallahassee. In his free time, John enjoyed watching old westerns, listening to music, and writing poetry. He also loved singing and attending church at Friendship Primitive Baptist in Crawfordville, where he was a member. John was a family man and dearly loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family members. He will be remembered as a humble, compassionate man; greeting everyone with a warm, genuine smile. He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Wanda Taylor Lynn; son: Brian (Susan) Lynn of Lenoir, NC; daughters: Tonya (Buddy) Montague and Laura Kreps all of Crawfordville; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brother: Brad (Janet) Davis of Tallahassee; aunt: Ann Cunningham of Alabama; brothers-in-law: Amos (Rita) Taylor and Ricky (Kathy) Taylor all of Tallahassee, Robert (MaryAnn) Taylor and Mitchell (Rhonda) Taylor all of Panacea, and Reverend Steve (Malissa) Taylor of Crawfordville; and sisters-in-law: Rochelle Smith and Dorothy (Reverend Michael) Hall all of Crawfordville. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Bruce Taylor, Brother Chris Hall, and Reverend Mike Montague officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8:00pm, Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church, Crawfordville, FL.
