Alvin Lewis Bargeron
August 23, 1948 — December 14, 2018
Mr. Alvin Lewis Bargeron, age 70 of Sanderson, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 surrounded by his family.
Mr. Alvin was born on August 23, 1948 in Waycross, Georgia to the late Mr. Clifford and Helen (Brooker) Bargeron.
Mr. Bargeron worked for many years in retail, dedicating 12 years to Pioneer Metals and later went on to work at the local Wal-Mart in Macclenny.
When not working Mr. Alvin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His favorite past times were hunting and fishing, as he loved the outdoors. When he was not able to make it outdoors, he could often be found playing computer games. He was known as a strict, yet fair man and father, but overall will be remembered for his loving spirit.
He is survived by his dear wife of nearly 51 years, Mrs. Phyllis Dugger Bargeron of Sanderson; son: Alvin (LaBreeska) Bargeron II of Macclenny; daughter: Dawn (James) Murphy of Sanderson; sister: Deloris Easter of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Skylar Murphy, Isaiah Murphy, James P. Murphy, Brooke Combs, and Shelby Combs; as well as his granddaughters dog that he loved, Diesel. Other family members and friends also survive.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Violet Nickerson and Karen Campbell; and brothers: Bennie Bargeron and Dale Bargeron.
A Celebration of Mr. Alvin's Life will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Forbes Funeral Home, Macclenny. 904-259-4600.
