Alton Lane

Mr. Alton Marion Lane, age 76 of Macclenny, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015. Mr. Lane was retired from the CSX Railroad with over 30 years of dedicated service. He loved fishing, camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a man of many talents: Mechanic, Electrician, Farmer, mentor and he loved sharing his faith, spreading the word of God. However, fishing no doubt was his favorite pastime; spending several weeks out of the year catching Sheepshead fish at North Beach in St. Augustine, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife: Marlene Lane and is survived by; sons: Richard (Joan) Lane of Macclenny and David (Agnes) Lane of Las Vegas, NV, daughters: Dicie (Patrick) Mobley of Macclenny, and Elizabeth Lane of Gainesville; grandchildren: Jeremy Crawford, Kaleb Mobley, Tiffany Lane, Brandon Lane, Sheena Guynn, David Lane Jr., Byron Barton, and Jarrett Barton; ten great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
