Mr. Alexander Joseph Caldwell Jr., age 63 of Macclenny, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Born in California to the late AJ and Ruby Lee Caldwell, Mr. Caldwell was a forty year Macclenny resident. He was a retired JEA Plant Operator who loved baseball and enjoyed coaching and umpiring for Baker County Little League. He also served as a Little League board member. He was a member of the Marietta Church of Christ and loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by wife of thirty nine years: Cynthia Barber Caldwell; son: Corey (Ashley) Caldwell of Macclenny; daughters: Amy (Joe) Crawford and Christy (Shannon) Burnsed all of Macclenny; sisters: Gladys Certain of Corpus Christi, TX, Mary (Harold) Gross of Hillsborough, OH, and Patty (Jim) Story of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren: Hunter, Haleigh, Tyler, Carson, Camron, Mallory, Aiden, Alexis, and Callie, due in March. A host of extended family and friends also survive. A celebration of his life will be held 4:00pm, Friday, February 14, 2014 in the chapel of Forbes Funeral Home with Minister Jamie Rhoden and Elder Steve Fraser officiating. The family will receive friends at 2:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Mr. Caldwell's honor to: Baker County Little League or American Renal Associates.
