Ada Sigers

Ms. Ada R. Sigers, age 83 of Macclenny, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015. A lifelong resident of Baker County, Ms. Sigers was the founder of Play Corner Daycare in Macclenny and was a member of the Glen Baptist Church. She was a member of the Iris Society and was retired from Wolverton Oldsmobile in Jacksonville. She had a heart for caring for others and loved her family, friends and flowers. She especially loved making memories with her grandchildren and was blessed to see five generations. She is survived by her son: Ronnie (Dixie) Sigers of Glen St. Mary; daughters: Deborah (Richard) Hodges of Glen St. Mary, Carol (Jimmy) Taylor of Brasstown, NC and Kim (Gary) Mercer of Macclenny; fifteen grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. Additional family members include sister: Minnie Yarborough and Cliff (Ruth) Lee and her lifelong friend: Joyce Thrift. She was preceded in death by her grandson: Derek Young. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Glen Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery, Macclenny.
